Scuola Virgilio is an Italian language school in Sicily organising seasonal intensive Italian group courses and year-round (general or specific) Italian private lessons intensive Italian weeks for groups, Italian homestay courses, online Italian lessons.

Coupled with general Italian courses or separately special Italian language programs are available, such as seminars on Italian culture topics. Activities such as Italian and Sicilian cooking classes, visits and excursions must be coupled with an Italian language course.

All Italian teachers at Scuola Virgilio are native speakers graduated in foreign languages and literatures and with specific training for teaching Italian as a non-native language. The teaching method is based on the communicative approach which aims at teaching Italian as it is used in everyday life, using different media: written texts, video, audio, multimedia. Different levels are avaible according to the European Council’s CEFR.

Thanks to the quality of its teaching, Scuola Virgilio is recognized by the University of Perugia as an exam centre in their CELI certification system for the knowledge of Italian.

Scuola Virgilio’s HQs are in Via Bonaiuto 20, in the old town centre, next to the central post office of Trapani, very close to the sea. The school has four well-equipped classrooms, spacious and bright. Students can use the free wi-fi connection, a common space with a computer, information boards and a multimedia library.

In addition to the Italian courses by the sea, Scuola Virgilio offers language courses in Trapani, in particular English, French and Spanish.
